Rove buys a Los Angeles property

Digital Spy reports that Rove and wife actress Tasma Walton have bought a $1.2 million Los Angeles mansion with hopes of expanding their careers in the United States.

Rove who has appeared three times on E!’s Chelsea Lately has reportedly had talks with host Chelsea Handler for a permanent hosting gig.

The Australian chatshow host, who married actress Walton in a private ceremony last June, bought the $1.2 million property just outside Los Angeles to help the couple build successful international careers.

Talking about the country retreat style setting of their new home, Walton told Woman’s Day magazine: “It’s important because the world is so frenetic. I love bushwalking, and Rove’s a twitcher, so I’ve started enjoying bird-spotting, too.”

She added: “More and more, the idea of having a child appeals. And it hasn’t always been that way.”

RoveDaily shutting out overseas fans?

RoveOnline reports on correspondence from overseas Rove fans that the Official Rove site ‘RoveDaily’ is locking out overseas (non Australian or NZ) fans from video on the site.

There’s been some messages from YouTube viewers located in Canada, U.S, France, NZ & Hong Kong all stating that they are no longer able to view the full show via Channel Ten’s RoveDaily website.

If you’re one of them, try contacting the show directly to see if they’ll reverse the decision on regional restrictions: mailroom[at]rove.com.au

Rumoured new Network Ten show format

According to Sunday Telegraph the new format of the rumoured Network Ten 7pm Weeknight show to be produced by Roving Enterprises will be loosely based on BBC One’s ‘The One Show‘ which has a set of rotating presenters for different nights.

According to ‘The One Show” website the format involves different formats for different nights including Consumer, Current Affairs, History, Science, Community and Wildlife & Nature. Reportedly some Roving personalities including Hamish & Andy, Ryan Shelton and even Rove McManus may be involved.

Something interesting from the behind the scenes visit of RoveOnline and Co. was a mention from Rove that an announcement is to be made within 24 hours about his United States presence. What could it be? A cable show? More appearances on Leno?
