Peter Helliar and wife Bridget have welcomed their third (and apparently final) child Oscar on Tuesday Morning at 9.47am in a Melbourne Hospital.

DITCHING your radio co-host halfway through your brekkie show is almost as bad as leaving your league team-mates for France halfway through the season.

But when funnyman Pete Helliar hit the road on Triple M colleague Myf Warhurst on Tuesday because his wife was going into labour, she let him off the hook.

The Rove comedian raced home to grab wife Bridget and rushed to a Melbourne hospital, welcoming his third son Oscar at 9.47am.

“We thought we were almost going to have a freeway baby,” Helliar said yesterday.

The couple’s other sons, Liam, 5, and Aidan, 3, were also pleased with the latest - and, according to Helliar, last - family addition.
