The Herald Sun: Could a move to the US be a step closer for Rove McManus? Confidential believes that McManus and his manager, Kevin Whyte, are in the US this week having meetings that could be the next step of the Channel 10 star’s quest for a career over there. McManus’s contract with Ten is up at the end of year. He has made no secret of his desire to work in the US, but made it clear he would not give up Rove for just anything. This visit is McManus’s third this year. He appeared on the high-rating The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on the previous two.”I want people to know I’m not planning on moving to America just for the sake of moving there,” McManus told Confidential in August. “My plan is I’m staying here and there is a very good chance I will be here next year and I don’t want people to think I’m turning my back on the show.” Jay Leno is one of his biggest supporters in the US. McManus said of the talk show host: “He was really positive. We had a really good chat afterwards, hopefully about doing more things in the future.”

Isn’t this old news? Though, I’ve been following the mess NBC put themselves in with Leno and Conan arrangement - so who knows.
