Whats on the Tube? writer Daniel went to the taping of Rove on Sunday. Apparently some recent episodes have been pre-recorded a few hours earlier due to Australian Idol and rugby. He wrote a report of his time in the audience at the site.
Sunday 30th September 2007, I was lucky enough to be in the audience of Rove which is filmed at the old Channel Seven studio’s in South Melbourne, now controlled by Global Television.
This particular episode was not live although the majority are live, apparently the reason was because of Australian Idol, but I don’t see how that can affect it. The original time the audience had to be present was at 7:15pm however because of the early recording of the show this was changed to 5:15pm.

The early recording was due to the Child Employment requirements in Victoria. The children in the marching band were only available up until 9pm.
