The Daily Telegraph reveals Belinda’s family have decided to open up to Australian Story.
THE family of the late Belinda Emmett have broken their silence to paint a colourful picture of her life beyond the gloom of her tragic battle with cancer.
With her widowed husband Rove McManus emerging slowly from his own grief to chase new career goals in the US, Emmett’s parents, siblings, best friend and showbiz peers have only recently “felt ready” to share their pain in public.
In an emotional episode of the ABC’s Australian Story, to be aired next Monday, McManus makes it clear Emmett’s final wish was to be remembered “not as the girl with cancer”.
The Channel 10 host released home video footage of his late wife, who lost her determined battle with the disease in November last year, in a bid to put to rest the media portrayal she disliked as “brave Belinda.”
